Overview
DMF stands for District Mineral Fund, is a pooled fund of district mining
offices collected on every instance of royalty payments against different type of minerals
at certain percentage of the royalty amount.
This fund is utilised for the interest
and benefit of persons and areas affected by Mining activities. These public services are
provided to respective departments of the state under monitorship of the District
Magistrates, head of the Governing Council.
The execution of public service projects
is conducted by inviting proposals from respective state departments, aligned with a
predetermined list of public service types. These proposals undergo a thorough evaluation
process, including approval, tendering, and the issuance of work orders by the DMF Governing
Council. Subsequently, the selected agency executes the project, during which regular
inspections are carried out.
